The 58th Annual Art in the Park takes place Saturday and Sunday, September 12 and 13, 2015, from 10am to 5pm each day at Walnut Park, Petaluma Blvd, & D St. in downtown Petaluma, CA. This great event with over 50 local artists and live music is sponsored by the Petaluma Arts Association (PAA) to raise money for art programs in Petaluma schools and a scholarship for an art student at Santa Rosa Junior College. I'm honored to be the President of PAA for 2015-16. Please come see me in my booth, where I'll be selling my original art, limited edition prints, small prints, cards and my unique Reiki-infused Sleep in Beauty pillowcases.
Then, on September 17, at a gala event at the Jacuzzi Winery in Sonoma, I will be accepting an award to PAA from United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) for the support we give to disabled artists!
Continuing on that theme, PAA and Old Adobe Developmental Services (OADS), a branch of UCP, will have a booth at the Sonoma Fall Home & Garden Show, taking place September 18-20 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, CA. Come learn about our organizations and see and purchase art by our members.
Also at the Sonoma Fall Home & Garden Show, I am leading two Paint & Sip events in the Garden Room, Saturday September 19 and Sunday September 20, both from 1-3pm. For the low, low price of $20, you will create your own work of art, a 16x20 painting on canvas. All materials are supplied and you can enjoy up to two free glasses of wine to relax you into a creative frame of mind.

My first solo show opened August 22, 2014, at the O'Hanlon Center for the Arts in Mill Valley, CA. It runs through September 25, with a reception Tuesday, September 2 at 6pm, to coincide with the First Tuesday Art Walk in Mill Valley. On that day, September 2, I will also be particpating in the Artists' Talk at 4pm. Please let me know if you have seen the show and what your impressions are. This is the first comment I received:
"Really love your show! Absolutely beautiful color and subjects that play in my mind even now. I plan to go back again and again.'

Once again, I'm thrilled that the 4 collages I entered in the fair this yearwere awarded 4 prizes - a FIrst Place and 3 Awards of Merit. I compete in a professional category that includes oil painters, watercolorists, acrylic painters, and drawing, so I am doubly honored when my collages are selected.
